I finish school this week. Already completed my final exam and check out for the school. All that's left is my last few hours and then my board exam in Columbus in April. Things have been slow around here because of the school crunch, turning into a gym rat, and planning my wedding. However I have been plotting well actually writing a short write up of my time in as a teenage gangster. Pictures of the young me will accompany it.
In my time off from school I'll be getting some work done on my bike and plan to document it as best as I can with my Nikon and IPhone. Stay tuned and as always check out Drinkin and Dronin'.

I woke up for school a little late this morning knowing it would be one of those days. It's really been one of those weeks where physical violence on another human seems like the only way of escaping your bad day that's been worse then the one before which was worse then the one before. Instead of catching a felony beef I usually find myself beating the feeling away, getting my nose deep in the books studying for my board examination, listening to music (in the winter Crowbar, Down, 7 Seconds, Sam and Dave are a constant), reading about motorcycles, or plotting the next way I can ruin my future with tattoo's. It's been a bleak start of the year. My only light ahead is schools almost finished then I get paid to cut hair, wedding date is looming, Europe tour so I can show those goons how a proper haircut is done, and my motorcycle is so close to being road worthy I can taste it.

I haven't been able to do much with the blog for a couple of days due to flu like illnesses which have plagued me for a little over a week now. Don't fret though I seem to finally feel better minus the loss of my equal equilibrium. If things keep looking up I should be doing a lot of cool things some of which are finishing the second part of my post containing bands that defined my youth, a cool photo journal of local graffiti in the train yards by my house, a tour of the decor of my home, a few interviews with some friends about straight edge and our fall from grace with it(yes I will even interview myself sort of), and then a photo journal of the life of a barber student and some awesome flicks and interviews from barber shops and barbers in the southern Ohio region. I'm also back at painting and working with my wife on building a studio in our house. Peace and Jah Love.

I've been enamoured with the dark side of life since I was a kid, be it my love for Darth Vader over the force, heavy music, or movies and books chock full of blood, guts, and Lucifer. There really isn't a good reason other then it interests me. I was raised well adjusted, good parents, good student, no religion pushed down my throat to backlash against and yet still I've always had a weird fascination with it. Anyway around 1997 I started listening to a lot of ill Black Metal some years later a buddy of mine gave me a book called "Lords of Chaos" for a Christmas present. There in lies the irony, I know. I gave him a rare Integrity record, we made out like bandits. Anyhow I thoroughly enjoyed the book and it's tales of Scandinavian metal heads rebelling against Christianity in their country, which once flourished as the Nordic center of the earth.
Recently I stumbled on a trailer for a movie "Until the Light Takes Us." I'm sure it wont be the coolest but I will definitely still be checking it out.

Still trying to get my motorcycle ready for next season along with trying to fix Jules Yamaha, graduate school, help plan the wedding and keep my sanity. No one said "life is easy." Had an awesome weekend that went something like this.
Friday-School, Eat, Casey's for beer and movies.
Saturday-School, Eat, Corey's for a banging ass party and watch Casey bum people out with his "hey sailor" costume pictured below.
Sunday-Watched the Bengals crush the Bears. Good times. Benson was fucking his old team up.
Monday-Over to Justin to mess with the motorcycle and take a peek at his Honda Shadow. Got a little bit further on it but still need to work out some kinks.

Have you ever felt like your looking at the world through a window? Wanting hopelessly to strangle all the passer-by's one by one. Telling them they really aren't as ironic, novel, or as ground breaking as they think. If I am told what's cool and what's not one more fucking time this daydream could become all too real. If GQ tells me what hip barber shop can get you the right "madmen" cut next month, I will strangle some poor Williamsburgite and jack them for their wallet, watch, and keys. To reiterate on the topic of these hip barber shops, when I see the production coming out of them it almost makes me laugh and wonder why I'm mad at all. Glorified beauticians trying their hardest to give a barbers cut. Fuck you, fuck your aveda learned wack ass barber wishing you were no skill with a pair of masters having ass. Sorry to be so blunt but I'm sick of it. If you have to look in GQ for a good barber then you should go back to the faux hawk or mop top you had last year.

The weather and a busy schedule rained on my parade as far as working on my motorcycle goes. The addition of a most annoying cold had also ruined all plans to do anything this week. I did get to keep my tattoo appointment and attend a birthday party.

Sorry if anyone actually reads this thing. I've been really busy as of late and haven't had the time to update on here for a few weeks. Life's been super hectic, I got a great job offer last week for a pretty cool barber spot at a shop not too far from
my house, other then that I've been cutting some seriously awesome hair, watching the Bengals, and drinking my weekends away into one quick blur. I have an appointment to get my hand tattooed next Saturday, if I don't get too lazy I might buy some film for my nice camera I never use and try and have some pic's taken to document the process.

P.S. I own that Underdog shirt. It's and OG and it's even more awesome in real life.

Fall appears to finally be upon his the mid-western wasteland called Ohio. It's a heartbreaking and yet beautiful time of year. The muffled crunch of leaves under your feet, boundless and charming sun sets, the chilly nights perfect for your favorite jacket which usually finds it way around your sweethearts shoulders. It also hearkens thoughts of another year passing by, loved ones we lost, and the feeling of mortality.

In reflection of my favorite and yet oddly most despised season here are few implements I think every modern gentleman, rapscallion, or dude with a good sense of style and good taste should own or enjoy.

This is my 1973 Honda CB450. Starting Friday I will be working relentlessly on it, which will take up quite a bit of focus on the blog. Her name is the Beast and she will be prowling dirty Hamilton streets by the end of the summer or I'm a dead man. I'm going to take photos and make most about what work I'm doing as I do it so stay tuned.

So for as long as I can remember, which is roughly twenty six years. I have loved tattoo's. Not for any other reason then because I think they are cool on pretty much every level. Like when you go to the barber shop and see an old timer with a swallow on his hand or some ornate greenish black heart with a name in the banner of a women he might have spent five minutes with or fifty years. Anyway I started collection tattoo's on my eighteenth birthday and really haven't stopped since then. To commemorate the passing of my grandmother and to basically say fuck it to all the ill things in my life of late, I decided to get my neck tattooed this is the outcome.
